KRSNA AND BALARAMA STEAL BUTTER FROM THE GOPIS

Sometimes Krsna and Balarama would secretly enter the storeroom, steal yogurt and butter, and feed it to the monkeys. On one such occasion mother Yasoda caught Krsna and Balarama in the act. Krsna was standing on an upside-down wooden mortar for grinding spices and was distributing milk preparations such as yogurt and butter to the monkeys as He liked, and Balarama was hiding behind a pillar. When the two boys saw the stick in mother Yasoda's hand, They begun looking at her with great anxiety, as if They were afraid she would chastise Them.
